I'm still here!

Sorry I've been gone for so long. There is a lot of work to do at university at the moment as well as holding a part time job, being on a committee and having time for dance practise. As such very little hobby has been done since armies on parade. I have a couple of updates and a new list to show you.

Typhon

So the typhon is being built at the moment. Most of the main parts have been washed and just today I built the main core of the beast. There will be a crew member sitting in the top (the one with the spyglass). Check my twitter for future updates. There are also three jetbikes sitting on the painting table as well

List for Throne of Skulls January

So below is the list that I am planning to take with me for the Throne of Skulls event in January at WHW. The Centurion rides with the bikes and the Apothecary rides with the plasma team (that feel no pain is invaluable in a unit that has a tendency to blow themselves up). The army is meant to be fairly balanced with most units being able to do two jobs. E.G the jetbikes and centurion. Volkite as the special weapon and a lightning claw for infantry, but all of them have meltabombs just in case. I decided to go this way round as last time I played with them I gave them a mulitmelta and spent the whole game tank hunting when they probably would have been more use gunning down basic infantry and assaulting a tank if they had the chance (which they didnt). This is why most of the units have meltabombs/power weapons or power fists to give them some tactical flexibility. I know rhinos don't have a great name in 30k, but 10 man tac squads just get shot to pieces in the open so the rhinos give them an extra turn of survivability as well as the speed to cap objectives. Everything else is pretty self explanatory.
