David's Space Wolves

So another army showcase (haven't done one of these in a while) and I saw a wonderful space wolves army at Throne of Skulls back in the middle of January (the only other wolves player present) so I thought it only right to take some photos of them and show them here. Thanks very much to David for letting me share these photos and setting up his army specifically so that I could take photos of them.
So Davud's 3k list was very different to mine using two large blocks of troops, a small terminator unit in a land raider, a support squad and a heavy support squad a couple of support vehicles and of course the tried and trusted Typhon.

HQ and Troops

Most of the units in this army have been made using a mixture of the betrayal at calth parts and parts from the space wolf grey hunters kit along with some other bits and pieces. It's nice to see an army made up of 40k parts but have that 30k feel to them.

Heavy Support and Fast Attack

The other thing that I really like about this army is the way that it is weathered. Now I don't normally like snow weathering on vehicles but these have been really well done. The snow looks good and is in areas where you might get a little bit of snow build up over time. There is also a wonderful use of shields and larger icons to give some more detail to the vehicles. These are most clearly visible on the Sicaran and the Scorpius (defo going to have to find some of those on ebay).

Overall this is a wonderful army, and I'm looking forward to seeing it at the next Throne of Skulls event. If you want to see more of the army in the mean time head over to the Heresy Forum (http://heresy30k.invisionzone.com/) and check it out under the space wolves section. Anyway hope you've enjoyed this showcase, if anybody has an army they want showcasing let me know. Until next week.

Philip
