So I've managed to once again neglect making content for the blog or being active on social media as life (as it has a habit of doing) keeps getting in the way. So I thought I'd do a quick one today about what I have done recently and do some more in depth articles over the Christmas Period.
30k Armies
So I'm currently working on a couple of mechanicum units for the 30K doubles event in January, including a krios venator, a bunch of thallax, Ursurax and a Domitar. I am also planning my army for the Escalation Paintings 30k Event in April. So I will be getting hold of a second Krios, some mermidons and 3 medusa because I'm going to be that guy with and Ordo Reductor list. I've found some nice simple ways of converting basilisks to medusas. Now I could use a the forgeworld ones but have decided that I wanted more sleek ones without masses of armour plating which is why I won't be.
The space wolves are on hold at the moment until inferno drops as I'm not really sure that I want to do with them till I find out when the book drops.
What needs finishing before the end of January |
The Shop
So if you've been following me for a while you might know I work for Gdubs, so I have a couple of bits and pieces that I do for work so I thought I'd share some of the things that happen. So first things first David Soper brought his slayer sword winning farseer into the shop and holy hell it was awesome. If you ever get a chance to see his work in the flesh do try and see it as it is totally worth it.
We also just finished painting our death watch overkill box and I got to paint the Brood lord, which was such good fun I promptly went and bought space hulk so hopefully I'll have some photos of that game up once I've opened it (it's my christmas present to myself). But for the mean time here are Broodlord photos.
And the final thing that is happening is a tale of gamers style event where I am doing ogres, although I have no photos but I currently have a fire belly and some bulls (because that's all you get for £50...) with the plan being to add 6 more bulls, some lead belchers, a tyrant and ironguts over the next 3 months (I'll do a better post about this later this month).
Anyway that is all I can think of in the short term so enjoy the photos and hopefully I'll post something else soon...
I like the yellow on the AdMech and the Broodlord looks awesome! Does the tale of painters limit you to 50£ a month? Seems like a nice way to get people to slowly build up a good army over time.
ReplyDeleteThanks man. Yeah the limit is £50 we're planning on doing 3 months of it but I might do 4 or 5 personally as I'm really enjoying painting ogors at the moment and you don't get much for £50 with ogors
