Weekly update

My pseudo weekly updates are back! I've managed to got some good bits of hobbying done over the last week but now feel a little burnt out, to the extent I played a computer game last night, not something I have done in a while. Updates might be a little more sporadic for the next couple of weeks due to being away and not being the mood to paint at the moment. But without further a do let's get some pictures up of what I've been up too.

Prep for Filming

So I was lucky enough to go along to The 30k Channel over the weekend to film a game with Marcel for the channel (see below for their instagram handles). But I didn't have a quite the army I wanted so that meant some long nights painting up another sisters transport and a pursuer cadre with some dogs to make up some extra points so I could run nearly all sisters of silence (still needed 500pts of custodes however). As well as that I painted up 4 NPCs for the game to use to make the game more thematic. So overall I've managed to get 11 models painted up this week (44 in total for the year now), and only 16 models to go till my Talons of the Emperor are completed to a state where I wanted them to be.

Filming

First things first there are no spoilers here of how the game went (although it was a close really fun game) but I thought I'd show the two armies off. I brought a heavy sisters force with Marcel bringing an elite alpha legion force to the table. It was a great day made even better by David guiding both of us through what we needed to do to get the best shots and playing on such a table was a wonderful expereince making the game seem even more real than a normal game, especially as both of our armies are grey city fight esque based. Any way below are shots of the armies and the deployment at the beginning of the game. You'll have to wait to find out the results when it comes out on the channel so keep your eyes on the the30kchannel instagram for updates.
